About Me

I have always loved two things: writing, and helping others.

As a student at Swarthmore College studying English Literature, I was also a Writing Associate, meeting with fellow students to assist them with their essay writing. This was a terrific combination of my passions and students frequently requested more sessions with me, to go beyond the scope of a single paper and further develop their structuring and revising skills. I graduated Phi Beta Kappa in 2023, and subsequently moved to Los Angeles.

As a resident of LA, I have developed my tutoring skills in a variety of environments. I’ve worked with students who are neurodivergent, both in the LAUSD system, and at home. Doing so reinforced my belief that a good tutor first meets the student where they are, and develops a system specifically designed for them. I’ve also worked with groups of 5th and 6th graders after school, as a form of remedial learning in both English and Mathematics. Additionally, I am a part-time English SAT tutor, meeting with cohorts of Juniors in high schools across the city.

I am so glad to be a tutor. It’s a fulfilling way to work with the English language and assist young people so that they not only grow more skilled and confident, but more engaged and intrigued by the written word.

If you think I’d be a good fit for your child, reach out! I look forward to hearing from you.
